10. Admission-Procedure Flow Chart

The applicant is able to come to Japan only when CESR (Certificate of Eligibility to a Status of Residence) is issued by the immigration. (It is not possible only with the Admission Permit from CBC.)

The applicant must follow the procedures in blue letters. CBC follows the procedures in green letters. Immigration or the Embassy follows the procedures in purple letters.

conducted by Association of International Education, Japan and The Japan Foundation
The 1st Sunday of July and December Designed for non-native speakers of Japanese; evaluates and recognizes their Japanese language proficiency.
Passing Marks:
   Level 1 : 70%
   Levels 2 to 4 : 60%
Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students
conducted by Association of International Education, Japan
June and November Designed for international students who wish to go to college; serves to evaluate their preparedness for higher education.
