4. Screening
1. Applicants will be judged pass/fail on the basis of application--document screening and an interview.
2. The application for the Department of Japanese or the Department of Advanced Studies in Japanese will be determined by the Japanese level of the applicant.
5. Course Description
Department of Japanese (1-year course)
A course designed for beginners in Japanese to study from the basic to the various expressions used in the daily lives. The study includes the fundamentals of grammar and sentence patterns.
Department of Advanced Studies in Japanese (1-year course)
A course designed for intermediate to advanced students in Japanese to acquire various Japanese expressions. Communicative excellence in Japanese is pursued in order to give the students good preparation for future involvement in various international activities. Many students proceed to higher educational institutions in Japan after the completion of this course.

There are 22 hours of lesson in a week and more than 900 hours a year.
There are many activities such as Social Study Tour, Recreation, International Exchange and so on.
